Q: Why can’t I get my email on my iPhone without opening the actual Mail app?

A: Because you haven’t changed your settings to do so ! Simply:

  1. Tap on “Settings” from your iPhone or iPod Touch home screen.
  2. Tap on “Mail, Contacts, Calendar”
  3. Tap “Fetch New Data”
  4. Change from Manually, to your preferred setting.

Remember, if you have a question that you would like to ask us just submit it in the comments and we will try to answer it.

Hope this helps guys!

How did this happen? I have my iphone backed up daily (overnight). however, the addressbook/contact list has populated all the address blanks with email addresses.

And more importantly is it fixable?

I looked this up and just have no clue, try restarting your iPhone, or try to load your backups if you have been making any of your contacts.

How can I get an alarm when emails come through

Can I get my iphone to fetch my email every 5 minutes?

  • Jamboree

I used to get an alert every time an email came in, but now that has stopped (all I did was try out the different ringtone sounds). Have now changed it to fetch data every 15 mins and have left the ‘push’ function on.
