OMG the creative entries made this harder than I thought. I received range from what became the typical do thirty things to destroy flashcards from everything to music videos. These entries were amazing, I can’t wait until next year, we may need more than just one winner.

First I would like to take time to appreciate and mention the winner in my heart. The honarable mention, this creative entry was not selected as a winner simply because of going over time in their video, which makes me question the time limits for next year’s Flashcard Scholarship. I totally wanted to go against the rules just for this video, but it wouldn’t have been fair…sigh!

This video is a must watch!

    i dont mean to sound like a whiner but this is what it says on the youtube group page:

    “If you video gets the highest ratings AND highest views you will receive a $500 scholarship just in time for school. It’s super simple.”

    i thought the winning video was good and stuff, but according to this it shouldn’t have won considering it only has like 30 votes and like 300 votes. next year’s guidelines need to be revised and clearer.

    Actually if you read the rules THOROUGHLY you would see that 50% of the contest was judged by CREATIVITY!

    I’m confused, Is “Bitter Betrayel” or “The Erased” the winner, and are the four proceeding videos the Honorable mentions. All were good choices, but i really would like to see a better and clearer layout on the rules for next year. All were over the time limit and all broke the copyright rule.
    And for all of you sore loosers who commented below, Cool Your Jets!!!! at least on the language. What are you, still in middleschool? You’re suppose to be going to college. ACT LIKE IT!! and try better next year. I didn’t win either but you don’t see me acting like a 13 year old. Grow up people.

    The winner was The Erased, sorry for the confusion. I didn’t hear any copyrighted music in their video when I selected it.

    The honorable mentions didn’t have to follow the rules, as they didn’t win, just honorable mentions and actually all of them (except Bitter Betrayal) fell in the 3 minute time frame.

    I thought the details were clear enough in the fine print page, what were you unsure about so it will eliminate confusion next year?

    And the sore loser comment…priceless.

    I understand you may be upset, but it’s clear the videos that didn’t follow the rules didn’t win. They are simply HONORABLE MENTIONS – they are only mentioned. I liked their videos, that’s it. They won nothing but a free copy of Cram which was NOT a part of the contest rules, just something I wanted to do for such creativity.

You judge your contest when it says “contains copyrighted materials owned by others (including photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or other media”. So when a national recording artist like Burt Backerack records a song but youtube get by it thats makes it legal? You are a fucking piece of shit. You rules are so fucked. If I would have thought “youtube allowed it” I could have used 500 different copyrighted songs. Get your stupid virgin fucking head out of your ass you fucking retard.
